Amanda + Joel | Stephie Joy Weddings Orange Park Club Continental

Amanda and Joel…..from the first time I met Amanda at Panera Bread with her super sweet mom, I knew we were perfect for each other! haha….Meaning we had so much in common. Everything we talked about was so fun; I could not wait for her wedding! Amanda has the best personality….from our bridal meeting at Panera, to her Club Continental wedding, Amanda’s personality was very addicting and beautiful! She laughed the whole day and was radiant throughout. I loved all the silly faces she would make, and how the chemistry between she and Joel was so great.

We had some down time before the ceremony, so in lue of a “first look”, I suggested a “first touch”…It was so exciting! The couple talked a little, but I think she was so excited, Amanda couldn’t say much. But after Joel left, she teared up from all the emotion…The moment was beautiful!

May I say, Metro Custom Cakes out-did themselves with the yummy cakes! And yes, that is a giant Kit Kat Bar cake. “Break me off a piece of that please!!!” The music at this wedding was so amazing! Jason with Footloose Entertainment played everything from Michael Jackson, to Journey, to The Backstreet Boys….haha I couldn’t help but dance myself. Like I said Amanda and I were made for each other.

Congratulations Amanda and Joel! You two are perfect for each other and I’m excited for y’all and your new life together! <3 sjp

ok…I have had a vision for this shoot a while now. It’s a bridal session with a rock-n-country twist. I love how romantic and edgy the images are. The clothing/style design is by me. Hair/make-up by Faythe Mesic. Model is Mandi. Jacksonville, Florida has some great landscapes, and this location is just that. I loved all 300 images, but will limit it to 35 LOL. Here is my vision of “Country Strong”

Sam and Lisa are getting married next month. So I met them recently for their engagement session. Let’s just say when Lisa showed up to the park, everyone was stunned! She was beautiful!! I can only imagine how she is going to look on wedding day. We were excited to get some sunset shots during this session, because rain threatened us pretty much all day. Wow. It seems like forever since I blogged last. Well, this blog post is from a wedding I helped a fellow “togger” friend shoot. Alex, with elle photography. The venue is The Club Continental in Orange Park. It’s a very special venue to me, since it’s where I was married a cool 5 years ago. Hmmm, how time flies. Back then, I never once thought I’d be back shoot other couple’s weddings. And I am SOOO glad I am! I LOVE weddings! There’s just something about the stress, and excitement of the day that gets one going like a good cup of coffee (which I also LOVE).

Just a little fun with the camera. I just want to let it be known that I LOVE MY JOB! Photography is such a huge thing in my life now. I have always been an artist, but now I have found what avenue I shine in. PHOTOGRAPHY! I still enjoy drawing and painting, sewing and crafting. But there is something about the JOY my photography has brought to people, that make my heart happy. I love seeing my clients faces when I have captured the love they have in a simple image.

I hope to reach many more people with my work, and I am thankful to my past clients, who have brought me to where I am now. Thanks for being such GREAT clients. And many thanks to GOD for the talent he has given me. I wouldn’t be where I feel that I am today, without them! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

I got to shoot some seniors from Fleming Island High School today before they left for prom at Jacksonville Stadium. They were a beautiful group of seniors, I might add! Enjoy some of my favorites. =)

The girl in the blue dress means a lot to me; she is my cousin. I love shooting her, because she’s beautiful, and has a great sense of humor….we are always laughing during her sessions.

Okay, just to prepare you…this is a long post. I loved almost all the images I took from this session. Cj and Rachel were so naturally in love, I just kept capturing all these great moments. Enjoy a few of my FAVES!!

I loved this old house…..We didn’t know the person who lived there, so we only snapped a few quick shots there.

The great thing about this session, was that I didn’t have to tell them to kiss ever! All the kissing and lovey doveiness was genuine!
