I met Brett and Kelli last year when I second shot their wedding at the Club Continental in Orange Park. The contacted me this year to shoot a “Rock the Dress | Couple’s Edition” for their one year anniversary. they chose the beautiful city of St. Augustine as the backdrop for their awesome images. I personally love when couple’s do sessions like this after their wedding because they are more relaxed than at the wedding (no matter how chill you may think you are). The photographer, bride and groom also get to be more creative in a two hour session than in the 30-40 minutes they may have set aside for their couples portrait on wedding day.

Their session is beautiful! so here are some of my faves…and yes scroll all the way down, because the ocean is involved.

A couple weeks ago I shot another wedding at Nocatee, Florida. Crosswater Hall seems to be a new popular venue for North Florida brides. You may remember this super cute couple from their winter engagement session. They had a beautiful ceremony and a super sweet reception…check out a few of my favorites capturing their day.

Last weekend I was able to second shoot Jill and Brent’s wedding with my friend Szarmack photography. I showed up to the new wedding venue in Nocatee Florida, Crosswater Hall to see Jill’s style was rich with gold and deep purple. It was beautiful! Very pretty to photograph. Her awesome caterer’s, D’vine Cuisine had prepared yummy meal, and had an awesome COFFEE BAR, my FAVE!! Here are a few of my favorites!

Jill’s make-up by the lovely Tracey Upson…she does a beautiful bridal look that is flawless in the photos.

So the next set of photos are of the beautiful couple and the killer sunset we had that night. It was awesome! We fought through the bugs and sweaty heat, but I knew the images were going to be awesome. We always love when couples are open to getting the creative shots. After all these are what you are going to have to remember your day!

The first time I met this adorable couple at Starbucks, I knew I’d love shooting their wedding. They are so in LOVE!! It’s hard not to see it when they are around each other. They planned a nice sized wedding in Ponte Vedra in April. But sometimes wedding plannning isn’t always black and white…due to some last minute changes, Stephanie called me needing to move her wedding to my next opening. Which was in a couple weeks. They cut everything that they had originally planned. But sometimes last minute planning makes for the sweetest and nice weddings. Overlooking the ocean, Stephanie and Russ got married at the Ponte Vedra Lodge and Club, in a quaint little courtyard. It was beautiful!

ok…I have had a vision for this shoot a while now. It’s a bridal session with a rock-n-country twist. I love how romantic and edgy the images are. The clothing/style design is by me. Hair/make-up by Faythe Mesic. Model is Mandi. Jacksonville, Florida has some great landscapes, and this location is just that. I loved all 300 images, but will limit it to 35 LOL. Here is my vision of “Country Strong”

So this is a special wedding to me. The bride happens to be my best friends sister. Basically like my little sister too. Our families are so close my mom was in Abbey’s parent’s wedding! So, enough of my history….here are a few of Abbey and her new hubby Shawn!!

Coolest bouquet ever! It’s called a Brooch Bouquet, and it has a bunch of keepsakes from Abbey and Shawn that are artistically made into an instant heirloom. It’s a bouquet the bride can actually keep forever!

Another awesome detail….this is the ring bearer’s book. A hollowed out book by William Shakespeare.

As I told you, this is like my second family. And this is Robert….the BEST second dad anyone could ask for!!

Congrats Abbey!! I Love you and I pray for your new life to be blessed!

Here is the beautiful wedding of Melinda and Kipi. The got married at the waterfront Florida Yacht Club in Jacksonville, Florida. They happened to get married the same day as the air show in town. So on this work day, I got to see cool planes and a gorgeous wedding! Melinda and Kipi are so in love and their photos show it. Enjoy some of their day.

This cake looked too pretty to eat…..but it was GOOD!!

Yes, it did rain 5 minutes before she walked out…but that’s good luck!

Wow. It seems like forever since I blogged last. Well, this blog post is from a wedding I helped a fellow “togger” friend shoot. Alex, with elle photography. The venue is The Club Continental in Orange Park. It’s a very special venue to me, since it’s where I was married a cool 5 years ago. Hmmm, how time flies. Back then, I never once thought I’d be back shoot other couple’s weddings. And I am SOOO glad I am! I LOVE weddings! There’s just something about the stress, and excitement of the day that gets one going like a good cup of coffee (which I also LOVE).

Here are a few of my favorites from Lauren and Cody’s wedding day. Thanks guys for letting me be a part of your wedding adventure! Enjoy….

Yes, their last name will the Kisser! I love it!! The bride to be is very special to me. Growing up, Abbey was like a little sister. Her sister, Brooke, and I have been best friends forever! My mother was in mer mom’s wedding, and now I’m shooting her wedding. I met Abbey and Shawn in Jacksonville Beach. We stopped by the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club for the beautiful fountain. And then around town for some other cool spots. Some of my faves.

More from the GORGEOUS wedding of Jill and Collin at the lovely Palm Valley Gardens. The day was filled with on and off again rain. But thankfully, the rain backed off long enough for the ceremony and most of the reception. But I have always heard that rain is good luck on your wedding day.

The dress shot: We were able to try some really cool dress shots, thanks to the bride. Photographers LOVE it when we can take the dress outside. I believe it really showcases the dress beautifully.

The flower girl is actually Jill’s niece. She was a ham for the camera! (and oh so sweet.)

Jill and Collin’s dogs were in on the wedding, too. They even wore tux and veil collars!! Love it!

Charity has to have been the sweetest girl I’ve met in a long time. Her story is, she got married in February. She wasn’t too pleased with her pictures from the wedding. So she decided to do a Rock the Dress session with me and her SIL. I couldn’t have asked for a better bride. She was willing to do whatever we asked her including a Big Red Tractor, although I didn’t want to push the limits. =) Here are a few from her Rock the Dress session.

Jax Shoot Club ~ October : {Jacksonville Portrait Photographer}

Had the Jax Shoot Out on Tuesday. This time we had some brides on the beach. With the threat of rain on the horizon, I was hoping the Shoot Out wouldn’t be canceled. The brides were great, and everyone had so much fun. I love meeting and talking with others who have the same passion as I do: PHOTOGRAPHY!! Here are a few of my faves…

This blue wall is in the main part of Jax Beach. I LOVE color, so naturally I wanted to get some here. BEAUTIFUL!!

This cute bride was ALL smiles. We had to ask her to make a serious face. I’m glad she’s happy!
