Leo + Eunice | Stephie Joy Photography Engagements

Leo and Eunice met me in Atlantic Beach Last week. The day before was a gorgeous 75 degree florida winter day. However, you must know the weather in Florida is never consistent. On the day of Leo and Eunice’s beach shoot…it happend to drop into the low 40s!! Super cold for me, from the South and for them, being from Puerto Rico! Needless to say, we all froze! Thankfully, the sky was amazingly clear and it wasn’t too windy.

Leo and Eunice needed little direction from me…they were so natural in front of the camera. I think I may have only told them…”pretend to like each other”. haha….jk. Here is there Atlantic Beach engagement shoot. And I hope their March wedding this year is an awesome one!!!

Leo also surprised Eunice with a beautiful necklace…..And her reaction is priceless!

This weekend I get to shoot this lovely couple’s wedding! I can’t wait. I remember from the first time I met with Layla, at Starbucks (surprise), she was all smiles. And was just a sweet and easy going at their engagement session. Layla and Andy are so nice to work with. I’m so happy they picked me to shoot their awesome wedding at the Lightner Museum during the Night of Lights! It’s going to be awesome!

I met Brett and Kelli last year when I second shot their wedding at the Club Continental in Orange Park. The contacted me this year to shoot a “Rock the Dress | Couple’s Edition” for their one year anniversary. they chose the beautiful city of St. Augustine as the backdrop for their awesome images. I personally love when couple’s do sessions like this after their wedding because they are more relaxed than at the wedding (no matter how chill you may think you are). The photographer, bride and groom also get to be more creative in a two hour session than in the 30-40 minutes they may have set aside for their couples portrait on wedding day.

Their session is beautiful! so here are some of my faves…and yes scroll all the way down, because the ocean is involved.

I am super excited about this couple’s wedding coming up this month. From the first time I met Amanda at Panera Bread for her bridal consult, I knew we would hit it off! Amanda’s personality is so bright and vibrant, she is going to make a beautiful bride! Then on to their engagement session. Amanda and Joel are so fun together! Their chemistry is awesome. I love couples where I don’t even have to coach them on posing. I just told them to pretend I wasn’t there, and act themselves. And they did just that! I can not wait for their fun filled Club Continental wedding in Orange PArk, Florida.

The first time I met this adorable couple at Starbucks, I knew I’d love shooting their wedding. They are so in LOVE!! It’s hard not to see it when they are around each other. They planned a nice sized wedding in Ponte Vedra in April. But sometimes wedding plannning isn’t always black and white…due to some last minute changes, Stephanie called me needing to move her wedding to my next opening. Which was in a couple weeks. They cut everything that they had originally planned. But sometimes last minute planning makes for the sweetest and nice weddings. Overlooking the ocean, Stephanie and Russ got married at the Ponte Vedra Lodge and Club, in a quaint little courtyard. It was beautiful!

Ok…so let me start with, this was probably the best kid session I’ve done, EVER! Miller was the smiley-est little boy! He laughed and played the whole time. Yes, their last name will the Kisser! I love it!! The bride to be is very special to me. Growing up, Abbey was like a little sister. Her sister, Brooke, and I have been best friends forever! My mother was in mer mom’s wedding, and now I’m shooting her wedding. I met Abbey and Shawn in Jacksonville Beach. We stopped by the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club for the beautiful fountain. And then around town for some other cool spots. Some of my faves.

More from the beautiful day at Jax. Beach where Jazmin and Robert tied the knot. The sky was a brilliant blue, and totally clear! Jazmin and Robert have a little girl, Lily. She was a part of the ceremony, too. After her mommy walked down the isle, Lily runs over to her daddy and gives him a big kiss! Oh, so sweet! That plus the gorgeous couple, made this wedding was a hit. Enjoy some from The Johnson’s big day!

Jazmin and Robert’s reception was at the Columbia Restaurant in Downtown St. Augustine. They happen to have a carousel at a park there. We just had to stop off and get some shots of the beautiful couple here!

This next image was thought of by our couple. I love couples that are creative and funny! His book is a “Marriage for Dummies”, and hers…well, “Wild Sex” is the title of it. We’ll just leave it to that.

Had the Jax Shoot Out on Tuesday. This time we had some brides on the beach. With the threat of rain on the horizon, I was hoping the Shoot Out wouldn’t be canceled. The brides were great, and everyone had so much fun. I love meeting and talking with others who have the same passion as I do: PHOTOGRAPHY!! Here are a few of my faves…

This blue wall is in the main part of Jax Beach. I LOVE color, so naturally I wanted to get some here. BEAUTIFUL!!
